Flamenco New Year's Eve 2018 Madrid

Like every year, Corral de la Morería will be hosting its now legendary New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner to say goodbye to 2017 and welcome 2018 with the best flamenco and carefully prepared cuisine, in an event that is one of the most special nights of the year for the venue. Guided by the inspiration from dancer and choreographer Blanca del Rey as Master of Ceremonies, the venue considered the world’s most prestigious flamenco tablao will be hosting a unique show featuring dancing by Eduardo Guerrero, the brilliant winner of the Audience Award at the last Festival de Jerez, as well as Vanesa Coloma and Esther Esteban. Accompanying the dancers will be the captivating voices of Chelo Pantoja, Michel Rosendo, Leo Muñoz ‘El Gori’ and Antonio ‘El Pola’, in addition to Mario Montoya and Paco Cruz on guitar. Together, they will offer a combination of dancing, singing and playing that will show off the richness and diversity of the art of flamenco in all its splendour.

As for the cuisine, David García has designed a special menu for the occasion, including organic potatoes royale with black truffle shavings; free range egg yolks with pheasant consommé; seasonal mini vegetables; grilled domestic lobster with lemon confit potatoes and creamy lobster coral soup; roasted wild sea bass, creamy stewed spring onion soup and citrus vinaigrette with San Lúcar manzanilla sherry; roasted rack of lamb resting on a chestnut and duck foie-gras ragout with fresh shoots; and, for dessert, caramelised French toast made with fresh milk and vanilla bourbon accompanied by Guanaja 70% chocolate ice cream. Corral de la Morería has created a pairing with five wines to accompany these dishes: Michel Gonet Millésime 2005, Leirana Cos Pes 2015, Viña Tondonia Reserva 2003, Ariyanas Terruño Pizarroso and Garmón 2014 D.O.
