Born in Granada, commenced his studies of dance at
the hands of instructors the likes of Monolete and Mario
Maya. He moved to Madrid in 1997, after having performed
in numerous festivals and shows all over Andalucia,
where he continues his education with La China and Manuel
Reyes, among others.
He is a member of a number of dance companies, namely
the companies of Carmen Cortés, Adrián
Galiá, Merche Esmeralda, Manolete...
In 1998, he participated and was chosen as a finalist
in the competition at the Bienal de Sevilla for his
performance a soloist in the show Gitanos del Sacromonte.
In 2002, he joined the Compañía Rafaela
Carrasco with the show Música en el cuerpo. In
2003, together with Olga Pericet, Daniel Doña
y Marco Flores, he created the company ESS3 Movimiento,
opening with its first show, Un Millón de Emociones.
In 2004, he obtained the Premio de Coreografía
for his solo and the Premio al Bailarín Sobresaliente
in the XIII Certamen de Danza Española and Flamenco
de Madrid with the piece "Madame Soledad.”
In the XIII Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, he performed
with Belén Maya y Rafaela Carrasco in the première
of Los Caminos de Lorca.
Recently he, together with Olga Pericet, formed the
company Manuel Liñán & Olga Pericet,
which premièred with the show Cámara Negra
to great success. In 2006 he particpated in London´s
Flamenco Festival with Marco Flores and Olga Pericet
in Chanta la Mui and in the Flamenco Festival in Jerez
in 2enCompañía with Marco Flores.
